-Gray And Black-

Are all things gray?
Are all things black?
Backstabbed and bloodied,
dropped
on the railroad tracks.
The beautiful break
and the broken digress
into less and less.
Backward progress
like rust
on a rampage.
Caged by our carelessness.
Diving down
colossal cracks,
the depths of our own
misleading lies.
A dreary demise
as tired eyes
close.
No future
when hope
is left at home.

Are all things gray?
Are all things black?
Pack lightly,
bear the burden.
Backtrack through time.
Put up a fight
to bring back
the white light.
