unforgiving
and never pausing.
You can't hold
the time-sandstone.
Just when you think
you've got it gripped
it crumbles and slips
sifting fast
past desperate fingers
and funnels back
into the hourglass.
Controlling the flow
of time's quick sliding sand,
is like grasping the wind
in the palm of your hand.
