-Glittering Gold-

Longing for the plush life
Ned left his wife
and child
hungry and alone,
on his own lonely road
to wealth.
Mining for gold
he sold
everything,
to find his riches,
to dig ditches
no more.
Three dragging years with no luck,
finally he struck
a main vein
of pure golden glory.
He struggled and pulled,
hauling load upon load.
Until
the pulley system of timber
snapped with a crack
leaving Ned trapped
and alone
with shattered leg bones.
Finally dying there
deep in his dusty cavern tomb,
surrounded by a hundred chunks
of priceless stone.

Just sums it up -
"Finally dying there
deep in his dusty cavern tomb,
surrounded by a hundred chunks
of priceless stone."
I love how you do that!
Nice one. :-)
